OdelMarketing gained rapid attention in the home fragrance and decor market through social media. To build on this success, I developed an e-commerce website to expand their reach and enhance their brand presence.Challenge: Need for a seamless online shopping experience to match the brand's premium image.Objective: Create a sophisticated and user-friendly e-commerce site.Pain Point: Changing the buying habits of customers from a purchase with personal support via WhatsApp to a website.
I conducted the introductory meeting with OdelMarketing's CEO and CMO. During this session, I explored their brand vision and business objectives in depth. To facilitate a clearer understanding of their needs, I presented examples of competitor websites within their industry. This approach helped us pinpoint the essential features and design elements necessary for their new site.
In the research phase, I worked closely with the marketing manager responsible for OdelMarketing’s Instagram presence. This collaboration provided valuable insights into their customer base and clarified the specific needs and preferences of their target audience. Additionally, I was provided with a precise brand book by the client, which guided me in aligning the design with their established brand identity. I also conducted a comprehensive analysis of competitors and developed user personas. Based on these findings, I created wireframes that outlined the website’s structure, focusing on intuitive navigation, compelling product displays, and an efficient checkout process. These wireframes served as a strategic foundation for the design phase, ensuring a user-friendly and effective site layout.
In the final stage, I focused on crafting and executing the website design. I translated user research and personas into a visually compelling and functional interface, ensuring it was designed to drive sales. Engaging with actual customers allowed me to refine and enhance the design. I applied OdelMarketing’s brand colors and imagery, as specified in their brand book, to ensure consistency with their social media presence. My goal was to create an aesthetically pleasing site that not only captured the brand’s essence but also optimized the shopping experience for increased conversions.
